HQ Development Newsletter to Residents

Date: 16th Sep 2021 Author: Ciarán Carr

Dear neighbour,

After years of planning 1st Fressingfield Scout Group will finally be getting our new building that will provide a safe space for scouting activities for years to come. I am writing to advise you that our modular building is being delivered on Tuesday 21st September. The building will be delivered on ten lorries, at 45 minute intervals with a crane arriving first at 7.30am. I have attached the contractors schedule for your information. Delivery will be via New Street (from Hoxne) into Priory Road, contractors have been to the site in advance and have confirmed the access arrangements.

To ensure that the delivery is efficient and to minimise disruption to local residents, it is essential that on the 21st September that Priory Road is clear of obstructions and residents are asked to not park on the carriageway between 6am and 5pm. I have discussed this with Suffolk Highways and have been advised to set out no parking cones from the evening before. I would like to thank you in advance for your support and understanding.

Scout Group volunteers will be on site and at the junction of Priory Road with New Street throughout the day to support the efficient delivery.

Yours in Scouting
