Group Camp 2021

Date: 12th May 2021 Author: Ciarán Carr

Dear Parent,

I am delighted to provide details of the 2021 Group Camp, unfortunately due to continuing restrictions we are unable to camp together. BUT, we do have a weekend of activities some online and some in real life!

Group Camp 2021 will take place over the weekend 28th – 30th May all members of the Group are very welcome to join us. The camp is FREE for all to participate but it is essential (for Covid-safety) that you book places for the activities on Saturday. Covid risk assessments and sanitizing stations will be available at all our activity sites. Attendance is acknowledgment of complying with the restrictions and directions of the site Leader and their team. All young people should be attend on Saturday in uniform with their necker, daypac containing water, snacks/lunch, personal medication/first aid and Covid kits. Sun hats and waterproofs!

To reserve a place (please note that activity day slots are for 2 hours at each of the three activity bases, you can book all three) you will need to identify the number of young people attending AND the time slot you require. We have a limited number of spaces and will be filled on a first-come first-served basis. Nicola Carr (ABSL) will be taking bookings, please email her at kentishlass2005@aol.com

Further details will be shared on our social media feeds and on our website.

On behalf of the Leadership Team, I would like to thank you for your continued support and hope that your child(ren) will be able to join us for the weekend. There is no need to attend everything or even camp, the programme is designed as a pick and mix. Join us for the entire weekend or select just a few activities it’s totally up to you. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at Andrew.aaldersdunthorne@talk21.com
While the Group Camp is free to participate in, we would welcome any donations towards the running costs. Each activity base on Saturday will have a collection bucket or you can make a donation via a BACS payment to the Scout Group account. All contributions will help us continue to provide scouting activities for your children.
