Gang Show 2022

Date: 3rd Dec 2022 Author: Ciarán Carr

Dear Parents and carers,

Gang Show 2022 – information and programme – Friday 9th December 6:30pm-9:15pm

As you will be aware we will be holding our bi-annual Gang Show on Friday the 9th December at Hoxne Village Hall. This is the first Gang Show since the disruption of Covid, we are using the village hall with reduced seating capacity as schools are still a little weary to hire out their buildings. I must therefore start with an apology and state that we must restrict the number in the audience to 130, this equates to around 16 seats per section. Each family is restricted to a maximum of two tickets (even where you have a number of children in the Scout Group). Can you please confirm with your section leader immediately if you would like a seat. We will place parents on waiting lists and redistribute tickets as soon as we can. It is our hope that we can meet demand but ask for your understanding, please remember that all leaders are volunteers.

Car parking is also restricted, so please share lifts or consider being dropped off at the venue if possible. Cars will need to park bumper to bumper, so please be aware that you may be blocked in until the end of the Gang Show.

Now, the housekeeping is out of the way – let’s get on with the show, doors will open at 630pm, audience members will be able to use the bar and we have a small Christmas fayre in the lounge area. Young people will be scooped up by the scout leaders and taken to the holding area back stage. Please remember to collect your children at the end of the show. We aim to conclude around 915pm.

Programme can be found on the reverse of this letter.

I would like to thank our adult volunteers that have worked hard to produce the show, it’s not West End but it is a showcase of scouting and more importantly allowing children to have fun.

I hope that you have a wonderful evening with us and have a great Christmas break, I look forward to seeing all in January for the start of the next Scouting term.

Merry Christmas
