This page provides the latest guidance and advice on how 1st Fressingfield Scout Group are responding to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and will be regularly updated.
Therefore, in accordance with the latest government advice and in the interests of public health: all face-to-face Scouting meetings activities and events have been suspended until further notice.
Our leadership team are currently working on delivering ‘virtual’ Scouting, running on the online video streaming service ‘Zoom’. Alongside our regular sessions, our team have been putting together activities and tasks on our active Facebook page.
Group Camp: 1st-3rd May
We will be running Group Camp virtually this year and a full camp plan will come out in the next week or so. Please sign up to this so that we know who is ‘on camp’.
While there is no charge for the camp – we would like to invite you to make a donation, should you wish, of £20 per ‘attendee’. Donations will go towards our HQ Development Campaign.
For more information, please read our Spring 2020 Newsletter.
Scouting From Home:
Of course, we encourage all members to continue their Scouting at home should they wish. Here are some suggestions:
- Complete our very own activity booklet
- Have a go at one of these activities and share your results on our Facebook page!
- Improve your map reading skills
