On Saturday 10th March we organised a Firework display and Funfair on the Fressingfield Playing Field, the weather was kind to us and around 300 people attended. Just over £1,400 was raised for the headquarters development fund, which was a fantastic result.

If you came along we hope you enjoyed the event, thank you to everyone that supported us, especially Fressingfield Playing Field Committee, Social Club and Parish Council, and Stradbroke Fire Brigade.

In the weeks prior to Easter we have been busy, the Explorers have been go-karting, the Cubs have made and eaten soups, the Beavers have been learning about free trade, the Scouts have been practicing their fencing skills.

By the time you read this the group will have attended the District St. George’s Day event in Long Stratton which this year was themed on International Activities.

The coming Summer will be busy with outdoor activities; we have Group Camp, which this year is near Fritton Lake, a Pioneer Troop Activity Day at Eaton Vale Activity Centre, Norwich. Later on members will be going to the County Water Activities Weekend, the Explorer Summer Camp in Derbyshire and NORJAM which is an International Jamboree in Norwich.
