Our recent Fundraising Quiz Night in Stradbroke Community Centre was very successful with 100 participants in 20 teams. We raised over £600. Thank you to everyone who supported us on the evening.
Plans for our Commonwealth Day Firework Display on Saturday 10th March at Fressingfield Playing Field are progressing well. The Playing Field Committee, The Parish Council, the Social Club and neighbouring farmers have been very supportive in getting our plans in place.
Details are: gates open at 6pm, fireworks at 7.30. There will be music, the Social Club bar, barbecue and food, attractions and sideshows for another couple of hours.
For safety reasons there will only be parking at the venue for Blue Badge holders.
Tickets in advance: £4. On the night: £5. Look out for posters soon.
Tickets will be available from:
Fressingfield Shop, Hoxne Shop, Horham Shop, Laxfield Co-op, Stradbroke Post Office and Reflections Hair and Beauty in Harleston.
There is little progress with the new headquarters except to say that the archaeological survey was completed before Christmas and nothing of interest was discovered.
On the Scouting front we are limited by the weather and dark evenings at the moment, but we have plenty of Scout skills to brush up on and plans to make for summer activities.
