Cub numbers have been steadily increasing, so we have now formed a second Pack which after a successful 3 months is becoming established. We have called the new pack Tiger Cubs (Monday evenings) and the other pack Wolf Cubs (Wednesday evenings). They are working hard to achieve their Outdoor Challenge badge so the term has included camp, water sports, shooting and fencing along with some pioneering and camp skills.

Our Fundraising focus at present is on two fronts. The Explorers have a range of events and activities to gather funds for the Kenya trip next Easter, and the Group is promoting our “Building on Community Foundations” Appeal to fund the foundations of our new headquarters. This is an appeal for sponsorship from individuals, families, organisations, businesses and community groups to sponsor metre squares for a donation of £50. If you are able to help us with sponsorship all you need is on the Fundraising page of our website: http://www.1stfressingfieldscouts.org.uk/fundraising/hq-development . Also a flyer/application form should be in this 6Sense.

On 13th June the Group provided a Barbeque Team for the Women’s Cycle Tour event in Stradbroke, and sold a large amount of Burgers and Hotdogs.

Lastly a little “job advert”…
